Pros:
Everything about how the product works; great suction, easy to clean up (the side door to empty & easily removed filter), good battery life, narrow but not small nozzle to get into tight places, easy handling (power switches, nozzle positioner switch), good "accessories".
Cons:
Pricey, kinda large and a little heavy (not a problem for me, but could be for some), the base seems to be a little bit of an afterthought for such a well thought out hand vac.
All in all, this thing is awesome and I'm seriously considering buying another in spite of the price (my wife and I are always needing it at the same time). But, hey, you get what you pay for in this terrific hand vac.

The good reviews about this vac are from people whose batteries haven't worn out yet. Yes - it's a very strong vacuum and picks up and traps fine particle dust. It's screams like a banshee while it's doing it though. The real problem with this machine comes when its battery life is over. That's when you discover that the battery is hard wired to the motor and the only way to replace it is buy a motor/battery combo which costs more than the original unit. As you can imagine, not many replacements are sold - so the consequence is, after a couple years use, the 'sucker' is going to spend how many hundred years in a land fill? If you don't want to waste your time reading my review here, just look at any of the other 1- and 2-star reviews on this site, which all basically state how I feel about this piece of junk. Wear your ear plugs while you use it, and remember that louder doesn't necessarily equal better. A horrible design concept -- as several other reviewers have mentioned, cat litter rarely makes it up the nozzle and into the cylinder, which, as several other reviewers also mentioned, is a royal pain to empty and clean. I wish that I could return it, but alas, the box has been discarded. BUT!...if I lose one of my 5-lb hand weights, this would be an acceptable substitute.Customer Review: Hoping it would be better

We have used a B&D Dustbuster for years and it has been great. However, this product has been a bit of a letdown. First of all the nozzle is MUCH smaller than other Dustbusters, as a result a lot of "normal" stuff we would vac up don't fit, or fit at the end and get stuck in the nozzle -- this happens quite a bit. The other problem is if you accidentally suck up any thing wet it makes the inside canister a horrific mess that not only can be seen, but has to be cleaned and dried before you can use it again. We will most likely keep using it for really small particles, but will probably order another one for normal sized DustBuster messes.Customer Review: After 1 year, not holding a charge very well

I've been using this handvac for about a year now and I have LOVED it up until this point. Lately, it hasn't been holding a charge very well like it used to. It is still serving it's purpose, so I'm not getting rid of it, but it doesn't have the power it used to. I have pet birds and have to use this thing on a daily basis to pick up seed and feathers. I don't agree with what some others have said about the filter getting clogged. Maybe if you don't empty it regularly that would be an issue. Anyway, if it weren't for the issue of it losing it's charge after a year of use, I would give this 5 stars.
