Purchasing this little hand vac is the best thing I could have done. I bought it to vacuum up litter that the cats kick out of the litter box. Not only does it do a wonderful job with the litter, I have found so many other uses for it for quick clean ups around the house. It's easy to handle, has great suction power, very easy to clean. Powerfull enough to vacuum the car with, too. I highly recommend this vacuum. Before I purchased it I read other reviews, I bellieve that someone said it was noisy - well, DUH! All vacs are noisy. Who cares? As long as it does the job and this one Does it well!Customer Review: Worth every penny!

I was skeptical of buying this when I saw the price, but was tired of the three other handheld cordless vacs I had bought and ended up throwing away after a year or so, so I took the plunge. This thing is great, best part is the suction, 18V gives you lots of power, and with my three year old this things earns its keep, the adjustable nozzle is great, perfect for using in the car, or along baseboards in the kitchen. The only drawbacks are it's a bit noisy, and the filter needs cleaning often, keep some replacement filters handy if you plan on using it a lot.Customer Review: Nice little vac

I've been pretty impressed with this vacuum. I bought one before this (though I wanted this one more) becuase it was 'in stock' at the place I happened to be. It was the same price, so I thought I'd try. It didn't suck worth beans, so I took it back and ordered this. This one cleans up very nicely (says the mother of an almost 2-yr old Tasmanian Devil) and the battery has been sufficient for everything I need. I'm tempted to take it along on car trips now for emergency cleanup of "whatever the boy might throw (or throw-up)" but that's a different story :)Customer Review: This is one powerful hand vacuum

This vacuum is very powerful. It rivals our full sized vacuum although it is a little bigger and heavier than the one it replaced. It is pretty noisy on the high setting (it has a low and a high) but is very impressive when you need to get something out of a crack. The rotating nozzle is also handy. They say you don't have to touch the dirt, but that is not strictly true. Once in a while you must remove the inner filter and clean it or you will loose suction. You don't have to stow the nozzle to put it on the charger unless the vertical space is limited.Customer Review: Cannot Replace Battery

After reading a number of reviews, I could not find a definitive answer to the battery replacement question. So, I called Black & Decker and one of their local service centers. You cannot replace the battery alone. You must replace the battery and motor as a single unit. The cost of this combined replacement item is more than the vacuum itself. As a result, this handheld vac is basically a throw-away once the battery dies. Not sure why Black & Decker would sell such a bad design. It is not good for their customers nor for the environment.
