Customer Review: Be Careful who you order from!

These filters are great, but I fully agree with other reviewers who were surprised when they ordered them from Buy-It-Now-Store (the $1.25 vendor) and then ONLY received the inner filter instead of the "set" as listed. Buy-It-Now-Store should remove their listing from this 'set' heading and sell their 'inner-filter-only' under an appropriate heading instead of mis-leading customers. Fine print stating "does not include pre-filter" in an obscure place doesn't cut it.
So, if your once great dust-buster is starting to seem sluggish, get rid of that old crappy, filthy filter and put a new one in it. Chances are, it'll run like new again, but remember to clean it regularly. Also, if you need the plastic retainer that is advertised in this listing as part of the 'set', DON'T order from Buy-It-Now-Store. Their $6.95 shipping amount is ridculous and you'll only get the 1 ounce inner filter.

I have the same dustbuster (and it is going strong) that I originally purchased 8 years ago but what has changed over the years is that these replacement filters are no longer carried in my local big box stores. So I am glad to find these online. My original dismay from day one is same as it is now - i.e. that I really don't need to toss more plastic in the landfill and wish there was an option just to by replacement paper filters since it is easy to just wash out (use a stiff brush if necessary) the white plastic with gasket, part. But I guess they needed the higher profit margin selling these as a "packaged pair" allows. Still, I'd gladly buy a 4 or more pack of the paper filter replacements alone - if they were ever offered that way!Customer Review: I can't live without my Dustbuster!!

I've had Dustbusters in my life for 15 years - but have only had to buy two of them. Like a car, so long as you take care of it (keep it charged, use periodicially, change the filter) this handy little device will last a long, long time. Obviously it's perfect for quick touch-ups when you don't want to break out the vacuum. But this review isn't merely for the B&D Dustbuster - this filter deal (4 for 3) is SUPER because they're hard to find in stores, and with Amazon, you just can't beat Super-Saver shipping!! TIP: Make your filters last. You don't have to change them out everytime. In between changes I place my filter in a plastic shopping bag and clean out the ridges with a cotton swab.Customer Review: Just what I needed!

Since I have an older model dustbuster, but it still works great after 12 years, I wanted a new filter and was worried they wouldn't have one to fit. I read other reviews from Amazon and decided this would work. I just ordered one as a trial and it fit perfectly and now will order more. I'm glad the company didn't try to make me buy a new one by not providing an accessory to fit because then I would have gone with a different company. It is quite a compliment to dustbuster that mine still works after 12 years and that's a quality I look for in appliances. Filters were sold as a Filter Set. Item received was replacement paper filter--only. (Filter Set from Black and Decker VF20 is two parts: a plastic filter and a paper filter.) Photo shown in product listing isn't what you receive. You receive after market product produced by Honeywell. Honeywell's paper filter will fit the the DustBuster, but it has less paper surface area. (It's not going to allow as much air to flow through it, when using the DustBuster.) I'm very disappointed. If I wanted the Honeywell filter product for my DustBuster, I could've bought it for less from a different vendor.
