Tools and Hardware Reviews of Black & Decker VP105 VersaPak 3.6-Volt 1.2 Amp Hour NiCad Stick Style Battery, 2 PackCustomer Review: B&D 3.6Volt BersaPak Batteries-Poor Quality Summary: 1 StarsI bought the B&D Scrubbing Brushes for my wife at Xmas....nice concept, but the VersaPak 3.6 battery is a dog. We charged it, it run for about 30 minutes and wound down. It really doesn't have any power to spin the brushes as they need to in order to to do the job. Thought about buying more batteries, then thought again -- it is cheaper to throw this thing away. B&D needs to rethink the VersaPak..especially as relates to the Scrubber. Ron
Customer Review: Black & Dec;ker Dust Buster Summary: 3 StarsI presentlly am keeping these batteries as a spaare. But having used the product before I'll tell you they don't have a long life and are expensive, based on the initial cost of the product that these battaries operate.
Customer Review: too expensive, unable to find Summary: 5 Starsi was unable to purchace the item at home depot and target. so that is why i went to amazon.com but after ordering this item i found it at another target store at a much lower price. $18.00 for a package of two and your price was $27.29. that is my complaint. p/k/h
Customer Review: Low power for the replacement 3.6v I ordered Summary: 1 StarsThe new Versapak battery I recieved was weaker than the origional five year old battery I still had. One of the two origional batteries quit working and I ordered a new one. The new one delivered only about half the torque to my screw driver and did not last long even after overnight charge. Perhaps I could have just recieved a defective one. I like the B&D cordless driver and will try again to order another one.
Customer Review: Don't hold charge as long as expected Summary: 3 StarsTo those people that can not find batteries without the charger, I say you will need at least two chargers at all times. The batteries need to be in a constant state of charge while you are using the others. The shelf life of the charge is pitiful and the length of charged batteries is not anywhere near your project-required time.
On the positive side you can not find a better "versatile" cordless system and this has make it possible for me to do many projects tat would be clumsy if I needed a cord.
